In 1972, Joe Chavez, a career glazier and member of the Southern California Glazier Union, watched as the ARCO Plaza (now known as the City National Plaza) opened its doors to thousands of workers and shoppers in Downtown Los Angeles. Alongside fellow union men, Chavez had worked for months to install the building’s 52 stories of glass windows. You could say he’s something of an expert—and with two generations of glaziers that came after him, you could say with certainty that a talent for glazing runs through the Chavez family’s veins. 

But that’s not all the Chavez Family is known for. In the late 1970’s, the Chavez family rose to fame in their tight-knit Los Angeles neighborhood as skilled fixers and installers. What began as a series of favors for close family and friends turned into a successful business. The family quickly realized the opportunity to leverage their expertise in glazing to serve the greater Los Angeles Area. 

With over 45 years of combined experience, Armando Sr. and Armando Jr. are the primary owners and contractors at AC Family Construction. This father and son duo has dedicated themselves to providing the greater Los Angeles area with premier residential renovation and commercial and residential glass work services. From bathroom and kitchen remodeling to general home improvement projects, the team works tirelessly to ensure your vision is brought to life. Armando Jr., who began practicing glass work at 15, spearheads the general construction team.
